UK Recruitment Process

Your Recruitment Journey, Clearly Explained

This guide explains each stage of the Sky Career Consultant recruitment process — from your initial assessment and eligibility review through employer interviews, employment confirmation, sponsorship and relocation.

Every application is reviewed individually, and progression depends on candidate eligibility, employer requirements and applicable UK immigration rules.

Your Recruitment Journey

Every candidate progresses through defined stages based on eligibility, employer requirements and recruitment outcomes.

  1. 01

    Candidate Assessment

The candidate submits their profile and relevant information for an initial assessment. This includes your CV together with any qualifications and supporting documents relevant to the roles you are interested in.

    Profile ReviewCareer BackgroundInitial Information
  2. 02

    Eligibility Review

Our team reviews the candidate profile against applicable role requirements, experience expectations and recruitment criteria.

If the profile is suitable, you are informed that you may proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process.

Eligibility does not guarantee employment, sponsorship or visa approval.

  3. 03

    Registration & Documentation

Eligible candidates receive instructions to complete the applicable registration, documentation and required submission formalities.

Those instructions set out exactly what to submit and what applies at this stage, so you can review everything before deciding to proceed.

    1. Eligibility Confirmed
    2. Complete Registration
    3. Submit Required Information
  4. 04

    Candidate Profile Activation

Once the required formalities are completed and reviewed, the candidate profile becomes ready for suitable employer consideration.

From this point your profile can be put forward when a role matching your experience and circumstances is available.

Being ready for employer consideration does not itself mean a role has been offered or reserved.

  5. 05

    Employer Matching & Interview

When a suitable opportunity is identified and the candidate is shortlisted, an employer interview is arranged.

Before an interview you are given the role briefing and employer information you need in order to prepare.

    1. Suitable Opportunity
    2. Employer Review
    3. Candidate Shortlisting
    4. Interview

Interview timing depends on employer availability and suitable vacancies.

  6. 06

    Interview Outcome & Further Support

Following the interview, candidates are updated regarding the outcome and applicable next steps.

Where an interview does not result in an offer, we continue looking for suitable opportunities and arrange a further employer interview where one is available.

Interview OutcomeNext Opportunity Where ApplicableCandidate Guidance

If you remain unsuccessful after two arranged interviews, your £75 Registration Fee will be refunded in accordance with our recruitment policy.

  7. 07

    Employment Offer & Sponsorship

Successful candidates move into the employer documentation, employment offer and applicable sponsorship and compliance stage. An offer sets out the job title, salary, working hours, benefits and terms of employment.

Sponsorship is employer-led. Where a role is sponsored, the employer acts as the licensed sponsor and is responsible for issuing the Certificate of Sponsorship and for the employer-side compliance steps. Our role at this stage is to coordinate and to guide you through what you need to provide.

    Employment OfferEmployer DocumentationEmployer-Led Sponsorship

Sky Career Consultant does not issue Certificates of Sponsorship. Where applicable, these are issued by the licensed sponsoring employer.

  8. 08

    Visa, Travel & UK Onboarding

Once the relevant employer and immigration stages are completed, the candidate proceeds with visa formalities, travel planning and employer onboarding.

Depending on your route and country, this stage can include a police clearance certificate, a tuberculosis test, a biometric appointment and your visa documentation.

    1. Employment Confirmed
    2. Sponsorship / Immigration Stage
    3. Visa Process
    4. UK Travel
    5. Employer Onboarding

Visa decisions are made by the relevant UK immigration authorities, not by Sky Career Consultant or by the employer.
